Francine Savin

Date of Death: April 22, 2016 (14th of Nissan 5776)
Fran was born to Manuel and Evelyn Ben on November 22, 1946. Fran’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Fran was survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lorie Savin & Adam Larky and Heidi & Trey Vecera, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abigail, Maya & Ethan, and brother and sister-in-law, Allan & Barbara Ben.
Grandma Fran was known for sleepovers where cookies were made and eaten for breakfast, shopping trips for first day of school outfits, and the provider of many “I love you” gifts and cards. Although she had never let anyone else drive her car, she gladly handed over her car keys to her eldest granddaughter, Elizabeth, the week she got her driving permit. Hanukkah was her favorite holiday because she loved shopping for her grandchildren and nephews’ children, watching their delight when opening their presents.
Fran was a bookkeeper/accounting clerk at Burroughs, Koepplinger’s Bakery, and Quicken Loans. She was admired by her friends and co-workers for being a hard worker, was always willing to lend a hand or an ear, and never forgot a birthday.
After battling many health problems, Fran passed away with her daughters by her side after listening to the story of Heidi and Maya’s big adventure in Paris.
