Eddie graduated from Henry Ford High School and then went to college for 2 years earning a degree as a journey draftsman. He later became a carpet salesman with many accounts of which most were builders.
Eddie loved to fish, go to the racetrack, golf, play cards, go to concerts, go to the Fisher Theater, and attend sporting events, especially football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed watching sports on TV but he also liked watching American Pickers and the history channel.
Family was very important to Eddie. Amy said he was a good father and he persevered through hardships in order to make it to special life events. He went to Reno to see her graduate from college even though he had terrible hip pain. His other daughter Wendy said that he remembers him taking her for a trial run to Wayne State before she went off to college so she would know her way around. He always wanted his girls to be safe and sound. Eddie always called Jackie to see if she arrived home safely from teaching in Detroit. He also gave Jackie a trial run of all 14 Walled lake Schools when she started to sub for the district.
Most important of all, Eddie loved his wife Jackie, his daughters, and grandchildren very much. He showed his love even through the 3 and 1/2 years that he was so sick. Family was most important to him.
