Stan was a true mench. He had a very friendly, caring and thoughtful nature. He was always ready to reach out to help people in need from the guy who cut the lawn to the C.E.O. of a large company.
Stan was a dedicated and highly regarded radiologist for almost fifty years before retiring at the age of seventy-five. He received awards from the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society.
In 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Gotliffe. Together they raised three fine sons who he was extremely proud of.
As a member of Temple Israel for over forty-five years, he proudly served on the Board of Trustees and loved singing in the choir.
Over the years, he enjoyed raising tropical fish, kayaking, making soup, watching and participating in sports with family and friends, and spending time with his dog Gus. He also liked to discuss politics and current events. He was very talented in designing and creating the many beautiful gardens around his home.
However, his greatest pleasure was being with his family, especially his six grandchildren who he adored immensely. He always told them to remember that Papa loved them.
