Helena Bartholomew was the beloved wife of Dr. Edward Bartholomew, cherished mother of Dr. Fred Bartholomew and Dr. Rick (Audra) Bartholomew, the proud grandmother of Ryan, Caroline, Faren, Ellie, Marli, Maya, and Jake Bartholomew, and the devoted daughter of the late Max and the late Bertha Lofman.

Helena was full of adventure and embraced life to the fullest. Her life’s goal was to continuously build memories; she did this with her family and friends. Helena was devoted to her loving husband, Eddie, and their nearly 56 year marriage (two weeks shy) consisted of experiencing all the fun that life has to offer, both as a couple and with their children and grandchildren. Every vacation had a purpose. Whether it was skiing, golfing, sailing, scuba diving, attending theater, or viewing a fabulous art exhibit, Helena embraced it all…. Having her family with her, while experiencing the joy of life, was her greatest pleasure.

Our family lost Helena after sunset, on December 4, 2018. She battled Multiple Myeloma with voracity and was a warrior in every sense of the word. She was determined to triumph over the disease and consistently battled to be able to enjoy her days on the golf course, to create special moments with her children and grandchildren, and to stay strong for her true love, Edward. The Bartholomew family’s lives have been made so much better for knowing her, and we are eternally grateful. May her memory be a blessing.
