Broncha Altus (Sept. 1, 1926-December 13, 2021) Broncha was born in a small city in Poland. Her life was good until Germany invaded Poland on her 13th birthday. After that, nothing was good for many years: she lost every relative she had. She married Irving, who also grew up in that same Polish town, after the War while they were in Germany; he had also lost every relative in Poland. Ultimately, they emigrated to the US. They made a new life for themselves and raised a family of four boys, Mark, Sidney, Harvey, and Joel. She lost Irving in 2006, but managed to live to 95. She saw her family thrive, have 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She’s at peace, next to Irving again. She was survived by Mark (and Brenda), Harvey (and Nancy), and Joel (and Cathy); she was predeceased by Sidney, but survived by his daughter Shana.
