Jean (Hartman) Tyner was born on September 3, 1904 in Russia. Before arriving in the United States, she lived in Calgary Canada. She married David Lee Tyner in 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio after a three week courtship. She was a homemaker, and together with her husband David, they had two children, Paula and Herb. She was active with Sinai Hospital Women’s Guild, Hadassah, ORT, and National Council of Jewish Women. She died on March 3, 1990, and is buried in Clover Hill Park Cemetery with David Tyner. She was a gentle soul who loved her family and her many friends.
