Jason Philip Zaks
December 2, 1973 - October 30, 2016

Jason Zaks was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. He attended Hillel Day School (Class of 1988), was a member and leader of his BBYO chapter, Kishon AZA, and a camper and staff at Tamarack Camps. He graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University and from Madonna University with a degree in teaching. Jason later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was a teacher at Pardes Jewish Day School.

Jason enjoyed all things Star Wars and Star Trek, had a love for animals and nature, and had a passion for technology and computers. He had a HUGE heart and was known for making people laugh and smile.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Hannah Zaks, and his former wife, Stefanie Zaks. Cherished son of Susan Zaks and Dr. Jeffrey Zaks. Caring brother of Dr. Lisa (Jason) Klein and Dr. Alana (Dr. Shon) Chakrabarti. Adored grandson of the late Dr. David and the late Rae Friedman, the late Philip Zaks, the late Jane "Jay" Zaks and the late Leah Zaks. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a world of friends.
